The Baseball Alberta Provincial Umpire Committee is responsible for: 

Fostering excellence in baseball officiating at all levels of play under the auspices of Baseball Alberta through recruitment, education, training, evaluation, mentorship, and networking, and create opportunities for each umpire to realize their full potential as a baseball official and feel valued as a member of a welcoming fraternity.
